Robert D. Fager Jr. of Lyons Falls

Robert D. Fager Jr., 63, of Marmon Rd., died Thursday evening in Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, where he had been a patient since October 10, 2003. He was born on October 30, 1939 in Ilion, the son of Robert D. and Jeanne Lokey Fager and graduated from Ilion High School. He graduated from RIT in Rochester with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He was Vice-President of Law Bros., Lyons Falls, from 1965 until his retirement, and then became a Building and Construction Consultant. He was a member of Lyons Falls Fire Dept.and had served as the Ambulance Chief, the Boy Scouts of America, an Assistant Scout Master in Lyons Falls, and a member of the Association of Builders and Contractors. He was also a former Village Board Member and a member of Lewis Co. EMS Council and the Dog Therapy Institute. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lynn Fager, Chicago, IL; and a son, Robert D. of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by his fiance, Vanessa Roberts, Lyons Falls; a sister, Mrs. Anthony (Barbara Jane) Flores, Midlothian, VA; his former wife, Mary Ann Daly, Rantoul, IL; and nieces and nephews. Cremation was in Brookside Crematory, Watertown. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to the Lyons Falls Fire Dept. The Callaghan Funeral Home, Port Leyden, is entrusted with the arrangements.
